Zoe Tannous

Zoie is a recent graduate from UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Psychology and Social Behavior. At UC Irvine she was cast in a number of productions including; Into the Woods (Cinderella), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), Heathers (McNamara), and most recently Hands on a Hardbody (Kelli Mangrum) which was unfortunately postponed due to COVID-19. She also enjoyed being in the ensemble of the Pajama Game directed by Don Hill.  Before Drama School she performed at the Pantages Theatre alongside the Chaminade Player’s cast of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST which won a Jerry Herman Award for ‘Best Musical.’ At an early age she performed Benjamin Britten’s NOYE’S FLUDDE with The LA Opera. Zoie has received multiple awards and scholarships for acting including; the Betty and Steven Warner Scholarship for high achievements in Musical Theatre, Best Female Cameo for the role of Phyllis Fontaine in Once in a Lifetime, Best Female Newcomer and eventually 4 Years of Excellence in the study of Drama from Chaminade, and won the 4th Place Modern Shakespeare adaptations award at DTASC Festival 2014.  During her time in college she participated in The Performing Arts Project and The New York Satellite Program which are both immersive programs in the Broadway world of Musical Theater where she worked with Broadway choreographers, casting directors, and Tony Award nominees and winners such as Jenn Colella and Gavin Creel.
