April most recently was a series regular on the CW series, TOW SWIFT where she played the strong and elegant, ‘Lorraine Swift.’ Currently, she is recurring as Will’s mom, ‘Vy Smith’ on the Peacock series, BEL-AIR. On the film side, she recently had a supporting role opposite Joey King in the Paramount+ feature film, THE IN BETWEEN where she played the role of ‘Jasmine,’ a warm, seen-it-all, quick witted nurse at the hospital who befriends King’s character and nurtures her both physically and emotionally.
Additional television credits include a series regular on the CW series SUPERGIRL, where she played the tough, always by the book, ‘Colonel Lauren Hayley.’ Her character could be described as a hard-lined career military officer whose actions are always driven by what is best for the country. Additionally, she was a series regular on the OWN/Tyler Perry Studios series, IF LOVING YOU IS WRONG which premiered it’s fifth and final season in March 2020. She has had multiple recurring roles on such television shows as CBS’ S.W.A.T., TNT’s THE LAST SHIP, FOX’s THE RESIDENT, Freeform’s THE FOSTERS and CBS’ JERICHO.
