Ambyr Michelle

Ambyr is currently starring as a series regular on CBS’s hit soap BEYOND THE GATES, with its second season now airing on the network. She was recently seen in a major recurring role on the Skydance/Amazon Studios series THE RUNAROUNDS, from the creators of Netflix’s OUTER BANKS, and appeared in Mindy Kaling’s RUNNING POINT for Netflix. Previously, Ambyr recurred on the FX drama SNOWFALL, created by John Singleton, and appeared in the Netflix comedy #BLACKAF opposite Kenya Barris and Rashida Jones, HBO’s INSECURE starring Issa Rae, and BET’S GAMES PEOPLE PLAY alongside Lauren London.

Beyond acting, Ambyr is a dynamic filmmaker developing an exciting slate of new projects. Her debut short film RIGHT WHERE YOU NEED TO BE, which she wrote, produced, and starred in, earned Best Drama at the Festigious International Film Festival, an Honorable Mention for Best Drama Short at the Independent Shorts Awards, and was named a Short Script Finalist at the California Women’s Film Festival. She is also a trained dancer and a graduate of the Performing Arts program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Most recently, Ambyr co-hosted the 2026 NAACP Image Award Nominee Luncheon.
